Webcast Explores Technology Proficiency

Go online to find an archive of a recent webcast featuring representatives of the International Society for Technology in Education, the Partnership for 21st Century Skills, the U.S. Department of Education, and two state departments of education. In Technology Proficiency: A Moving Target, participants examined current and emerging issues related to defining, promoting, and assessing students' technology proficiency.  

The archive resides on the site for the Appalachia Regional Comprehensive Center (ARCC) at Edvantia. It  is one of 16 regional comprehensive and 5 content centers that make up the Comprehensive Center Network funded by the U.S. Department of Education.  The purpose of the comprehensive centers is to provide state education agencies with intensive technical assistance to address the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) requirements and meet student achievement goals.
